Virtus Grappling Gloves - MMA - *HDC* Bonded Foam

The Ligum Fight Gear Virtus Grappling Gloves are designed for MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, submission grappling and controlled sparring where striking protection must be balanced with unrestricted hand use.

The outer shell is constructed from durable PU leather for repeated gym training and straightforward cleaning. The material provides a smooth, abrasion-resistant surface suited to technical drills, partner work and mixed striking-to-grappling sessions.

High-density HDC bonded foam is positioned across the knuckles and primary impact zones. The layered padding helps manage light-to-medium contact while maintaining a compact profile that does not interfere with gripping, hand fighting or positional control.

The open-finger design allows the hands to close around wrists, limbs and training equipment without the restriction of a full boxing glove. This supports clinch entries, takedown setups, submission work, guard passing and ground control where finger movement and grip access are essential.

An open-palm construction preserves direct hand contact and improves tactile feedback during grappling exchanges. It also increases airflow around the palm, helping reduce heat build-up during longer drilling and sparring sessions.

The glove profile is shaped to support transitions between striking, wrestling and ground work. Athletes can move from punches and defensive hand positioning into clinch control, takedowns and submissions without changing equipment between phases of training.

A hook-and-loop wrist closure secures the glove around the wrist and allows the fit to be adjusted according to hand size. Correct fastening helps limit internal movement and keeps the padding aligned during repeated exchanges.

The lightweight construction reduces unnecessary bulk around the hand, supporting faster repositioning during scrambles, defensive frames and technical striking combinations. The exposed fingers remain available for grip control while the padded knuckle section covers the main striking surface.

The Virtus Grappling Gloves are intended for technical drills, controlled sparring, skill development and mixed martial arts training. They are not designed for heavy-bag work, full-power striking or use as a substitute for dedicated boxing gloves.
