Refund policy
REFUND TIMELINES
In accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act, approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at checkout.
We strictly do not provide refunds via EFT or cash.
Refund timelines may vary depending on your bank and payment gateway processing delays.

Local (South African) refunds: May take up to 14 business days to reflect.

International refunds: May take up to 21 business days to reflect.

Once a refund is initiated, it cannot be reversed or cancelled.

Most refunds typically reflect within 2–5 working days after processing via our payment provider (PayGate), depending on your bank.
Ligum Fight Gear wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with your order for any reason, please notify us via email within 10 business days from the date of receipt.
Please note that Ligum Fight Gear will not accept returned items that are used, worn, washed, damaged or not in a condition that allows reselling of the returned product. We will not consider any refunds or exchanges for returns that do not satisfy these conditions.
If an item is returned and found not to meet these criteria, Ligum Fight Gear reserves the right to decline the return and withhold store credit or a refund.
The customer will be notified and given the option to arrange for the item to be collected or shipped back at their own cost. Ligum Fight Gear will hold the item for 14 calendar days pending further instruction. If no action is taken within that time, the item will be deemed abandoned and may be disposed of.
VOLUNTARY RETURNS (CHANGE OF MIND)
We understand that sometimes a product may not be exactly what you expected. If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind, Ligum Fight Gear is happy to assist, provided the item is returned in accordance with the conditions outlined below.
Before Ligum Fight Gear arranges the collection of a voluntary return, the customer will be provided with this Voluntary Returns Policy and any known return transport costs. The customer must confirm that they have read, understood and agree to the return process and the applicable terms and conditions before collection is arranged. Where replacement packaging or repackaging may be required, the customer acknowledges that any reasonable costs actually incurred following inspection will be deducted from the applicable refund in accordance with this policy.
To qualify for a voluntary return, the product must be unused, unworn, unwashed, undamaged, complete with all original accessories, manuals, labels and components, and returned in its original packaging in a condition suitable for resale.
The cost of returning the product to Ligum Fight Gear is the responsibility of the customer and will be deducted from the applicable refund. Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
All voluntary returns are subject to inspection upon receipt. Ligum Fight Gear reserves the right to inspect all returned goods to verify that they are unused, undamaged, complete, and in a condition suitable for resale as new, including the presence and condition of all original packaging, labels, accessories and documentation.
For certain large or specialised products, including but not limited to treadmills, reformers and other products that, due to their size, weight or specialised packaging, cannot be safely returned in their original packaging once opened, inspection and repackaging may need to be carried out at the customer's premises before the product can be safely transported. Where this is required, Ligum Fight Gear or its authorised service provider may inspect the product on-site and, where necessary, repackage the product using suitable packaging prior to collection. Any reasonable costs actually incurred for on-site inspection, replacement packaging, repackaging and return transportation will be deducted from the customer's refund.
If the original packaging is missing, damaged, or no longer suitable for resale, Ligum Fight Gear may, where necessary, source suitable replacement packaging to ensure the product meets the required standards for safe transportation and resale. As packaging requirements vary depending on the size, weight and nature of each product, the reasonable costs actually incurred for return transport, inspection, replacement packaging and repackaging will be deducted from the customer's refund. Where applicable, Ligum Fight Gear will advise the customer of these deductions following inspection and prior to processing the refund.
If, following inspection, the returned product is found to be used, worn, washed, damaged, incomplete, or otherwise not in a condition suitable for resale as new, Ligum Fight Gear may decline the voluntary return or adjust the refund to reflect the condition of the returned goods, where permitted by applicable law.
If a voluntary return is declined, or if the customer chooses not to proceed after being advised of any applicable deductions, Ligum Fight Gear will notify the customer and provide the option for the returned goods to be collected or shipped back at the customer's expense. No refund will be processed unless the voluntary return is completed in accordance with this policy.
Returned goods will be held for a maximum of fourteen (14) calendar days pending the customer's instructions. If no instructions are received within this period, the goods will be deemed abandoned and Ligum Fight Gear reserves the right to dispose of them at its discretion.
These conditions apply only to voluntary returns where a customer has changed their mind and do not affect any rights the customer may have under the Consumer Protection Act in relation to defective, damaged, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods.
INCORRECT ITEMS DELIVERED (NOT WHAT I ORDERED)
If the goods were incorrectly supplied by Ligum Fight Gear and do not correspond with your original order, we will give you a full refund of the transport costs.
RETURN OF DEFECTIVE GOODS
The return policy for defective goods covers a warranty period of 6 months from the date of receipt. If any goods show a defect within this warranty period, please contact us and we will arrange with you to have these products returned to us.
If the defect in the goods was caused due to incorrect use, fair wear and tear or negligence by the consumer, the warranty will not apply and we will not accept these goods back for exchange or refund.
Once your order has been successfully returned to Ligum Fight Gear and approved for credit, we will make sure that you receive your store credit or, in the case of defective or damaged goods, refund to the card used for payment within our outlined refund window.
For hygienic purposes, we cannot accept returns on mouth guards and groin protectors.

NOTICE
The provision of goods and services by Ligum Fight Gear is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Ligum Fight Gear will refund the client in full within our outlined refund timeline. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a R50 administration fee if the order was paid for via the Card Payment Option.
