What an upgrade to the 0.5 inch 1.8 m cheap barbell I had from a retail sports good company for a couple hundred bucks.

The Olympic barbell has a thicker bar giving much better grip and control

Neuraling is the same as what I’ve seen on some professional YouTube videos even though other more expensive bars have more neuraling I don’t think much is being missed. This encourage a wider grip or narrow grip perfect for most exercises and improving form IMO.

The spin is just right for me, (not that I can compare it to anything), good control when using it for shoulder in a landmine press which was an amazing realisation of the benefit of the spin for that exercise.

I do notice the plates position rotated when doing bench press, which I believe helps with tension and movement smoothness, all I can say is it feels like a proper bench press now compared to the non-Olympic barbells and I’m very happy and excited about that.

I haven’t dropped it and that’s not why I have it so no review about that.

I never tried the more expensive bars but I don’t see why I should pay more when this does the job fantastically, at least for amateurs/intermediate home gym-mers. Already a massive upgrade. Love it.
