The Ligum Fight Gear Rubicon Gen 2 MMA Mouth Guard - Impact Protection Gum Shield + Carry Case is designed for oral protection during boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, and contact-based combat training.

Constructed from mouldable EVA, the guard uses a boil-and-bite fitting system to form around the athlete’s bite profile. This creates a secure, low-profile fit that helps protect the teeth, gums, lips, jaw, and surrounding oral structures during impact.

A secure, correctly moulded fit is essential for stable protection. Once fitted, the Rubicon Gen 2 is designed to remain seated through striking exchanges, clinch work, grappling transitions, pad work, and sparring rounds without unnecessary movement inside the mouth.

Its low-profile structure supports controlled breathing and clear communication during coached sessions, helping athletes maintain instruction, timing, and composure throughout training. The remouldable fitting process allows the athlete to adjust placement if the first fit is not correct.

To fit the Ligum Fight Gear Rubicon Gen 2 MMA Mouth Guard correctly: 

1. Boil water and pour it into a heat-resistant mug.

2. Fully submerge the mouth guard for 30–90 seconds.

3. Remove it using a utensil. Allow it to cool until it can be handled safely.

4. Stand in front of a mirror and centre the mouth guard over your teeth.

5. Bite down firmly. Use your fingers and tongue to apply even pressure around the guard.

6. Maintain pressure for 30 seconds to mould the material to your teeth and gumline.

7. Remove the mouth guard carefully without distorting its shape.

8. Rinse under cold running water until the material is fully cooled and set.

9. Test the fit. The mouth guard should remain secure without excessive biting pressure and should feel comfortable during breathing.

10. Repeat the fitting process if further adjustment is required.
